FFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C N IL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE WAS, the Camissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an mmergency during the period from December lot to December 15th 1959 inc., which rendered necessary, the employment.of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per meek in doing the following work: 1 Repairing Filtration Plant and McCarron Pusp.Sta4 equip><entQ 2 Working extra shifts at various stations. 3- Taking emergency calls at Storeyard. 4 Finishing installation of,.and repairing water mains and service connections. j5j Driving country crew to and from work. 6 Repairing Mississippi River conduit. AND WiEEMAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circu4stances: 1 Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 3 Rights and Sundays. 4 In order to speed installations and repairs. 5 On account of scattered work locations. 6 In order to speed repairs. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized,to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions-,*f the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance Bo. 6446.
