WHERM, The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public
Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during
the period from March 16 to 34 1962, which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the
Department of Parks and Recreation and public Buildings
for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per
week in doing the following work=
(a) Drawing plans in the Architectts office.
(b) At building permit counter.
(c') Inspection at the First National_ = ..Bank
- building.
(d) Special inspection.
And WHEREAB, This emergency arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances s
(a) Rush job.
(b) Regular employee on vacation
(c) The work is done at night only.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who pe rformed
such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446•
