EHEREM, The, Coimnissicner of Public Safety has reported, in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence
of an emergency during the period from November 12, 1962 to No-
vember 30, 1962, which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees in the Department cf Public Safety for mole
than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week, in doing
the following work:
Clerical work in the Bureau of Police
W03EAS., This emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances:
Lack cif personnel to type reports and keep
current records up to date.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work
in accordance with the
dinance No. 6Ld46.
