RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the attached Quit Claim Deed
between the City of Saint Paul as grantor and the Port Authority
of the City of Saint Paul as grantee for the transfer of riparian
and other rights accruing to lands and areas between Shepard Road
and the Mississippi River along a line paralleling Shepard Road
adjacent to the Mississippi River, as more specifically described
in the copy of the proposed deed attached hereto and made a part
hereof by reference, conveyance of such rights being necessitated in
connection with the Port Authority's use of such areas for river
commerce purpose4 including the fleeting of barges and mooring of
towboats and other vessels, this proposed deed being given for the
purpose of substituting the same for a prior Quit Claim Deed,
unrecorded, dated the 3rd day of November, 1961 and authorized by
resolution of the Council, Council File No. 20+633, and the proposed
instrument being more accurately reflective in description of the
areas in which the aforementioned rights and interests are sought
to be transferred.
