RESOLUTION
OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

1 Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to receive funds from the Minnesota Pollution Control Ageney for
2 EnvironmentaZAssistance Grant
5 Whereas, the City of Saint Paul desires to apply for a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
6(MPCA), under its Environmental Assistance Grant Program; and

8 Whereas, the City of Saint Paul is seeking grant funds to impiement a component in the Sustainable Saint
9 Paul work plan that would create local policies, procedures and regularions that support and guide green
10 development within the City.

12 Whereas, the City of Saint Paul proposes to use the grant funds to print materials and hire a consultant
13 who would work with a group of stakeholders, experts and City staff who would recommend changes to
14 the City's policies that govern new development with public inveshnents.

16 Whereas, the City of Saint Paul is committed to nnplementing the proposed project as described in the
17 grant application, if MPCA funding is received; and

Whereas, MPCA requires that the City of Saint Paul enter into a grant agreement with MPCA that
identifies the terms and conditions of the funding awazd;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes staff to
apply to the MPCA for a grant consistent the fore going and expresses its intent to enter into and sign a
grant agreement with the MPCA to carry out the project specified therein and to comply with all of the
terms, condirions and matching provisions of the grant agreement.
