Voting In the Matter of sidewalk construction and/or reconstruction at the following
Ward location:
1 South side of W. Minnehaha Avenue from Kent Street to Mackubin Street.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COSTS AND RATES
* RESIDENTIAL rates (SINGLE FAMILY TO THREE FAMILY)
For a 5-foot wide sidewalk : New Construction (where no walk existed) , $13. 00
per front foot ; Replacement of old sidewalk, $6. 50 per front foot.
For a 6-foot wide sidewalk : New Construction , $15. 60 per front foot ;
Replacement of old sidewalk, $7. 80 per front foot.
All corner residential properties will receive a credit up to the first 150
feet of new or reconstructed sidewalk along and abutting the "long side" of the
property.
COMMERCIAL rates (all property other than residential )
100% of actual cost estimated to be approximately $4. 00 per square foot of walk
constructed.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and
having considered said report,hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof
is$*See above forfinanced by assessments.

2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 20th day of December, 1988 ,at
nind��o'clock a.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter,stating the
time and place of hearing,the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.

�NITIATING ACTION: This order was initiated by the Director of Pubiic Works as
public necessity on the basis of one (1) request for repairs and an inspection of the
walk.
EXISTING CONDITIONS: This walk is poured concrete with cracks and missing
panels.
