The original specified height of the retaining wall proved insufficient to correct the
existing slope erosion problem.

Adding additional blocks will allow a higher retaining wall to protect the existing
slope from sliding into the lake. Ivy will help to stabilize the bare soil areas.

The slope would continue to erode into the lake jeopardizing the existing stone wall and
bicycle path at the top and creating a potential safety problem.
