WHEREAS the St Paul Purchasing Office is providing trStIling to minority vendors and
members of the Minnesota Minority S�pplier Development Council (MMSDC) and the
Meuopolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA) on purchasing requirements,
procedures and policies to stimulate increased minority vendor participation in the public
procurement process; and
WFIEREAS, this training will take place Wednesday, March 16, 1494, from 8:30 to 10:00
am. in the City Hall/Courthouse, 15 W Kellogg Blvd, St Paul, MN,
NOW, Tf�REFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the 1994 C`ity budget the
proper City officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $75 to the
Joint Purchasing Office located at Room 280 City Hall/Court House, 15 W Kellogg Blvd,
Saint Paul, MN. This is to cover expenses incurred for providing refreshments for the
participants.
• A copy of said order is to be kep on file and of record in the Department of Finance and
Management Services.

getting contracts. St.Paul/Ramsey County Purchasing staff and Minneapolis Purchasing staff
have agreed to sponsor a joint training session to explain purchasing fundamentals.
Participating vendors are members of the Minnesota Minority Supplier Development Council
(MMSDC), a private sector majority/minority purchasing association, and the Metropolitan
Economic Development Association (MEDA), a minority business assistance program.
