The meeting was called to order by President �Ison at 9:00 A.M.
Preserrt - 4- Councilmembers Guerin, Long, Rettman, Wilson
Absent - 3- Councilmember Maccabee (arrived during discussion of Consent Agenda),
Grimm, Thune (both at National League of Cities Conference).
Council Presiderrt �Ison raised concern regarding item # 5 and said he has asked the
Mayor's Office to investigate whether term lengths have been violated and respond back
to the City Council.
Councilmember Maccabee arrived at this point in the discussion.
Councilmember Rettman moved approval of the Consent Agenda as amended.

Councilmember Maccabee said she had discussed this matter with the Community
� Council and said they were comfortable with the license as long as improvements to the
�;' loading dock were made to minimize disruption to the neighbors. She asked the License
� Division to look into the matter.

Councilmember Long questioned whether the Council had the authority to deny a renewal
of a license and was informed by the City Attorney that adverse action could not be taken
unless there was evidence that a violation had occurred.

Kady Dadlez, representative of the Planning & Economic Development Department
summarized the staff report and the Planning Commission action.
Councilmember Rettman asked questions of Ms. Dadlez regarding the impact on the
Council resolution regarding demolition of this structure.
Richard Miller, 26 W. 10th Street, owner of the property, responded to Councilmember
Rettman's concerns and outlined his proposal for renovating the property in the time
provided by the Cit�r Council.
After a brief discussion among Councilmembers regarding the proposed rehabilitation and
the potential action to demolish, Councilmember Maccabee moved approval.
