09-479� Council File # 09-479 Green Sheet # 3069740 ORDINANCE 3 � SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Preseated t An Ordinance Amending Chapter 409 Of The Saint Paul Legislative Code To 2 Allow Re-Licensing Of Locations After Fiftteen YearsWhere License Was ; Previously Revoked. 4 5 THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORAAIN: 6 � Section 1 8 Section 409.03 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended to read as follows: lo Sec. 404.03. Number of licenses. ]� 12 (a) In the downtown business district, and in all commercial develapment districts as defined in section 13 17.07.1 of the City Charter, on-sale licenses shall be issued only to hotels, clubs, restaurants and la establishments for the sale of on-sale liquors exclusively. In a11 other areas of the city, licenses shall t5 be issued only to hotels and restaurants, provided howevex, that establishments holding licenses on 16 August 16, 1995 shall not be affected by this limitation, but shall be entitled to have such licenses �7 renewed so long as they are in compliance with all other reqiiirements of law and there exist no 18 grounds for adverse actions against such licenses. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the following 19 exceptions shall apply: zo (1) A new license may be issued for a location in such other areas of the city if there had 21 previously been an on-sale intoxicating liquor license issued for tk�at location, unless: 22 a. The previous license had been revoked by the council for any reason other than 23 nonpayment of license fees within the�revious fifteen (15) �; or z4 b.
