4 THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:

8 Section 87, Water Code --Water Service Connections, of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby
9 amended to read as follows:

11 Sec. 87.17. Service connections where property was not previously assessed.

13 Parcels of land not previously assessed for an existing abutting permanent water main and desiring
14 a connection with said permanent main shall be granted permission to connect such parcel of land after a
15 payment shall have been made to the board of water commissioners in the amount of twenty-five dollars
16 ($25.00} per assessable front foot of land to be served, or at the assessment rate as levied at the time the
17 permanent main was installed, whichever assessment rate is greater. For irregular shaped parcels of land,
18 the assessable footage shall be determined by the city's real estate ��siea section.
