An ordinance to update a section of the Charter
consistent with current Minnesota law in
accordance with Minnesota Stat. § 410.12, subd.7
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 41012, subdivision 7, and upon recommendation
of the Charter Comznission of the City of Saint Paul, chapter 11, section 11.04, of the Charter of
the City of Saint Paul is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 11.04. Certification of tax levy.
After the adoption of the budgets as prescribed in Section 10.06 of this Charter, the
council shall adopt a talc levy resolution showing the amount which must bq be provided by an
ad valorem tas on all taacable real and personal property in the city. In addition to the amount
required to be provided, the council in the adoption of a tax levy resolution may include a
reasonable amount for tas shrinkage. The tax levy resolution shall be certified to the county
auditor in accordance with law. .
