In May 1994, a child ran into the street at this location and was struck and killed by
a passing vehicle. Public Works has provided a four-way stop at Jefferson and View, and
Parks and Recreation has been requested to fence the recreation center's Jefferson Ave.
side to direct people--especially children--toward the street intersections.
VANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Fence installed fall '94. This fund transfer will not affect the Western Park project,
which is complete and has a surplus. The Palace Recreation Center project is also
complete, but has no surplus funds.
