i Deer Feeding Prohibited. No person shall intentionally feed deer within the.City.
2 Subd. 1. Feeding Defzned: For purposes of this subdivision, feeding shall include the act of placing or
3 permitting to be piaced on the ground, or within five feet of the ground, any grain, fodder, salt licks, fiuit,
4 vegetables, nuts, hay or any other edible materials, which may reasonably be expected to result in deer feeding,
5 unless such items are screened or otherwise protected from deer consumption. Living food sources, such as fruit
6 trees and other vegetation shall not be included in this definition.

Subd. 2. Exceptions: This prohibition shall not apply to:
(1) Veterinarians, City animal control officers, or any other county, state, or federal game officials acting
on the course of their official duties.
Subd. 3. Penaliy: A violafion of this Section shall be a petty misdemeanor.

The Saint Paul Police Deparlment was nat collecting fees for fromproperty owners who had a large number of police calls for criminal
nuisance acflvity. The revisions to the Ordinance will allow the Saint Paul Police Deparhnent to assess property owners for those charges.
