following new provisions:
Sec. 66.2169. Dayton's Bluff Special District Si¢n Plan
(a) Intent and Purpose. The Dayton's Bluff Special Si�n District Plan, created as �rovided in
Section 66.216 of the Zoning Code, in order to provide sign controls in the Davton's Bluff
neighborhood, is intended to protect propertv values, to maintain and enhance the visibility of
unique architectural and natural features, and to encourage inveshnent and beautification in
residential and commercial areas bv reducine the visual clutter of advertisin¢ si�ns which impair
the effecriveness of neighborhood business and institutional siens and otherwise detract from the
�peazance, perception and safetv of Davton's Bluff neighborhoods and commercial districts.
�bl Area Descrzption. The Da�ton's Bluff Snecial Sien District Plan shall applv to the area
described azea is as follows: Warner Road and the Mississippi River on the South, Lafayette
Road and Interstate Hi¢hway 94 to Interstate Hi hwav 35E interchan�e ramp on the West. Grove
Street and Chica¢o Northwestern Railroad on the North and Johnson Parkwav. Birmineham Ave.

3 permit shall not be issued unless the plans for the sign have been approved bv the zonin�
4 administrator in conformance with this si n�plan. All buildingpernut applications for si n�
5 the Dayton's Bluff Special Sien District shall be submitted to the zonin� administrator far review
6 and approval. A fee to cover the costs of the review shall be established bv resolution of the Citv
7 Councii. All applications submitted for zonine administrator approval shall be of sufficient
8 detail to demonstrate that the proroosed sian complies with the provisions of this si�ulan. The
9 zonine administrator shall review the application withiu thirty (30) davs and notify the applicant
10 of � decision to approve or disa�rove the application. Written reasons, prepared b�the
11 zonine adininistrator. shall accom�aany all application decisions.
