BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL:
Section 1
Chapter 82 of the Saint Paul Administrative code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 82.02. Formal bids; contracts over t�vea�e fi� thonsand doliars.
a) Contracts in excess of the sum of t�enty-€rve fiftv thousand dollazs �&9��9j ($50,000.00) shall
be made only upon competitive sealed bids and after advertisement therefor in the official newspaper for at
least once a week for two (2) successive weeks. Such advertisement shall state the kind and quantity of
articles desired and the quality thereof, either in full or by reference to the standard specifications, and the
time and place for the filing and opening of bids.
Sec. 82.03. Tnformal bids or yuotations; contracts between ten thousand dollars and ��e f�
thousand dollars.
a) If the amount of the contract is esfimated to be more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) but less
than �e fi�ft thousand dollars ,�AA�98j �$SO.OQQ.O��, the contract may be made upon
competitive sealed bids ar by direct negotiation, by obtaining two (2) or more quotations for the purchase or
sale when possible, and without advertising for bids or otherwise complying with the requirements of
competitive bidding. All quotations obtained shali be kept on file for a period of at least one year after
receiptthereof.
