An ordinance to amend Chapters 402 of the Saint
Paul Legislarive Code pertaining to lawful gambling;
raising the appropriate tax to two and one-half
percent and repealing the requirement to file
financial reports with LIEP.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1
Section 402.05. Of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby ame��Pd to read as follows:
"Sec. 402.05. Local gambling tax.
(a) Tax imposed. There is hereby unposed a tax of �ve-(-�� two and one-half (2'/z) percent in 1498 and
three (3) percent in 1999 on the gross receipts less prizes from all lawful gambling taking place within
the city and received by any person or arganization licensed pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter
349."
Section 2
Section 402.06. Of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 402.06. CiTy permit required; administration as Class II license.
(b) Class II permit. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the gambling permit
provided herein shall be administered as a Ciass II license and subject to those provisions of these
chapters goveming Class II licenses.

Section 402.11. Of the Saint Paul Legisiative Code is hereby repealed.

Will allow for the continued operation of Saint Paul Gambling Enforcement.
