WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library will host a Strategic Planning retreat at City Hall
and the Central Library and other meetings, interviews and focus groups with costs not to
exceed $3,000,
WHEREAS, The Saint Paui Pubiic Library has received donated monies from the Friends of
the Library, which will pay the entire cost for the events, and,
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Pubiic Library requires an up-to-date Strategic Plan to guide its
decision making for the next 3-5 years and this retreat and other meetings will be both
e�cient and effective ways to write the plan,

NOW, THEREFORE, It Is Ordered that library officials are authorized and directed to
undeRake the staging of the events and remit the cost not to exceed $3,000 for the Strategic
Planning process to the proper parties.
