WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department's FORCE unit, through it's Crime Free Mulfi-
Housing Program, is sponsoring a one-day training for rental property owners and managers; and
WHEREAS, this seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 2005, and will be conducted at
722 Payne Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department will enter into an agreement with Byerly's
located at 1959 Suburban Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55119, to provide a continental breakfast and
lunch at this training; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department will enter into an agreement with two other retail
stores to provide miscellaneous training supplies at this training; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this training is to offer topics that are indispensable for property owners
and managers. Topics include: leases, lease addendums, tenant screening, working with law
enforcement, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), narcotics identification
and eviction procedures; and
BE IT ORDERED, that pursuant to the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program's budget, the
proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $400.00 to Byerly's
located at 1959 Suburban Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55119 and rivo ot6er retail stores within Saint Paul
city limits. This is to cover miscellaneous training expenses and for food service for the participants
in the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program's Phase I: Rental Property Owners & Managers Training.
This includes a continental breakfast and noon lunch; and
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
