D002023 Authorizing the Division of Parks and Recreation to enter into an agreement with the ARCT
Institute of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry, not to exceed $2,707.00, to conduct two OSHA required
workshops for up to twenty -four Forestry and Operations staff in the year 2001.
D002024 Authorizing payment, not to exceed $550.00, to Events By Design, to cover food services for
the outside agencies participating in the Saint Paul Police Department Professional Development

31. Resolution - 01 -288 - Approving a 2001 budget amendment to release funds from the general
government accounts - specified contingency. (Laid over from April 11)
32. Resolution - 01 -397 - Requesting that the Mayor's Administration, through the Fire Chief, develop a
management plan and reorganization chart that will eliminate the need for overtime and report back to the
City Council on May 23, 2001.
33. Resolution - 01 -398 - Requesting that the Mayor's Administration, through the Labor Relations
Department, negotiate out the mandatory overtime for Fire District Chiefs in the 2002 contract
negotiations.

34. Final Adoption - 01 -49 - An ordinance amending Chapter 66.216 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code
pertaining to special sign district sign plans creating a new special sign district ordinance for the
downtown area to be known as the Downtown Area Special District Sign Plan. (The ordinance was
referred to the Planning Commission for study and a report on this proposed amendment to the Zoning
Code) (Amended and laid over from April 11)
35. Third Reading - 01 -351 - An ordinance finalizing City Council action granting the application of
Mendota Homes, Inc. to rezone property from B -3 to RM -2 to allow construction of a new 3 -story
residential condominium at 1941 Ford Parkway (between Kenneth and Howell Streets). (Public hearing
held March 7, 2001)

36. Second Reading - 01 -375 - An ordinance amending Chapter 246 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code to
permit temporary liquor and 3.2 beer licenses to be issued in City parks and to delete obsolete references
to the department of community services.
37. Second Reading - 01 -377 - An ordinance extending the interim ordinance in Council File No. 00 -152
which preserved the status quo with respect to the use of property pending the completion of studies and
amendments to the Saint Paul Zoning Code relating to gun shops.
38. First Reading - 01 -399 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 13537, approved January 31,
1967, by deleting the roadway of Sixth Street - Mounds Boulevard to Maria Avenue from the truck route
ordinance.
39. First Reading - 01 -400 - An ordinance amending Chapter 310 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code
reclassifying taxicab vehicle as a Class R license instead of a Class N license.
40. First Reading - 01 -401 - An ordinance finalizing City Council action approving a petition of Metzger
Building Materials to rezone property at 763 and 765 Bradley Street from RT -1 to I -1 to permit outside
storage of metal framing for drywall. (Public hearing held on February 7, 2001)
41. First Reading - 01 -402 - An ordinance establishing the position titled Deputy Director of Parks and
Recreation as specified by Chapter 12 of the Saint Paul Charter, Section 12.03.2(H).

42. Resolution - 01 -270 - Approving an agreement with CityNet Telecommunications, Inc. ( "CityNet ") to
