The MICAC Task Force tugets individuals who use computers to commit crimes against children via the intemet. T1te Encase Forensic Soflwaze training is lughly specialized training not available locally. It is used by all ICAC units around the country. The attendees aze investigators from Minnesota, all members of MICAC. The participants aze from the Fergus Falls Police Department, the Woodbury Police Deparhment, the Crow Wing Counry Sheriffs Office, the Anoka County Sheriffs Office, and the Mankato Police Depaztment. The funds will cover registrafion, travel, lodging, pex diem and related expenses for the 5 participants. Ali funds come from the Federal MICAC Grant. Outside agencies participating in the task force are not compensated for their staff s time by the task force. This training is essen6al for MICAC membezs who need to have specialized working knowledge in their respective fields. This is specialized training and no local sources e�st for tttis training. All participants aze employees of agencies associated with or having a memorandum of understanding with the St. Paul Police Department, which is administering the MICAC Task Force. The NLICAC Task Force has Federal Grant funds to cover the costs of this traveUtraining.
