Lee, I understand that the Chamber of Commerce is engaged in a court proceeding asking that it be
allowed to forgo using PACs to contribute campaign financing to senate and congressional offices and
give direct from the chamber's own finances.
I personally believe this is a bad thing and would like to have it on our ad hoc agenda in a timely manner
so if we determine it appropriate the city could weigh in.
Council research, do you know what the time frame is for this matter? I believe it was mentioned in the
paper briefly
