Generally, any sewer service or water service work done in conjunction with a street paving project is more economical because there are no additional street removal and restoration costs. Adult uses are protected under the First Amendment; therefore, the City is required to have sites available for them. After a review of the existing land available for adult uses, city staff have concluded that the spacing requirements between adult businesses and buffering distances from protected land uses should be revised to meet legal standards. The proposed amendments will also make enforcement easier.
