Gentlemen:- Pursuant to instructions of the Committee on Streets of the Board of Aldermen, I transmit herewith proper form of resolution for the vacation of that part of the east and west alley in Smith' s Sub- division of Block 6, Stinson' s Division, lying west of the west line of the east half of Lot 5 in said block, and the north and south alley in said block, upon petition of the Church of St . Agnes ; the compensation being fixed at the expenses of the proceeding and the dedication to the City of the easterly twenty feet of Lot 5 for alley III purposes . Paul, that that portion of the east and west alley in Smith' s Subdivision of Block 6 of Stinson' s Division, lying west of the west line of the east half of Lot 5 in said block, also the north and south alley in said block, as shown upon said plat, be and the same are hereby vacated and dis- continued as public alleys, subject, however, to the following con- ditions, that is to say: Such vacation is based. upon the condition that said petitioner shall, before this resolution takes effect, pay into the Treasury of said City the expenses of this proceeding, and said petitioner shall also convey and dedicate to the City of St .
