Paul, and your peti ti oners respectfully ask that said Charlton Street between said North line of Congress Street and Nsaid Southeasterly line of Ohio Street be vacated. The rea, cans for said vacati on are as follows: The portion of said Charlton. Stn et ' hereby sought to be vacated has never been opened to public travel or been used by the public, and can never oe used as a public; thoroughfare for the reason that there i s a steep descent from said Charlton Street, to Ohio Street of al least 20 feet. That the portion of said C1arlton Street sought to be vacated has been entirely unc a.reci for and i s grown up to weeds and has been used as a sort of a dumping ground so that it has become very unsightly and a disgr; ce to the neighborhood. That your petitioners propose, if this petition i s granted, to level off said stree4 , build a retaining wall on 1 h line of Ohio Street In the rear thereof, and beautify said vacated sire eet.
