Lynch, Alderman, 11th Ward, City. De pr Sir: We are the owners of the property described below and desire to part ition the Common Council of this city to vacate the alleys adjacent to the lots which we own, and which show on the attached plde. As we own the adjacent property and as there are no houses on any of these lots or any other impravemente, we presume that the Council would have no objection to vacating the alleys in question, especially so, as the lets all have alleys in the rear and there is really no necessity for alleys where these are platted. The property in question is as follows: Lots one to nine inclusive, block one Thurston's Rearrangment of Block one and two, Thurston's & Lambie's Addition and lets one to six inclusive Block four Thurston's & Lambie's Addition. C) IX\ 4\14)L c/ 1 TO THE COON COUNCIL ;z) of the City of Saint Paul. Gentlemen :- The undersigned, being the owners of all land and property adjoining and abutting upon the alleys hereinafter described , respect- fully petition your Honorable Body to vacate all that portion of the north and south alley in Block numbered one (1) of Thurston ' s Re-arrange- rent of Blocks 1 and 2 of Thurston & Lambie ' s Addition to St . Paul, ex- tending from Portland avenue northerly to the north lines of Lots one (1) and three (3) in said block one ( 1) ; also all of the north and south alley in Block four (4) of said Thurston & Lambie ' s Addition . A plat of said alleys and the surrounding property is hereto attached and made a part, of this petition . The facts and reasons for such vacation are that none of the property in said blocks is now improved , nor has either of said alleys been graded or improved by the City . Your petitioners own Lots 1 to 9 inclusive in said Block 1 , and Lots 1 to 6 inclusive in said Block 4 , and desire to re-arrange said property so as to have the same all front upon Portland avenue with the view to improving the same in that manner. When said property is so re-arranged, said alleys will not only be entirely useless , but will be a detriment to the property , and there is ample alley accommodation for all of the property in said blocks on account of the existing east and west alleys in said blocks. Wherefore , your petitioners pray that the aforesaid alleys be vacated and discontinued. Dated August 19th, 1907 . .7 A ,_ __.. .__4 / /(f777- ee''C(' --r'a-
