Whereas, there was heretofore present-
ed to the Board of Aldermen, one of the
branches of the Common Council of the
City of St. Paul, the petition of Leonard
J. Dobner, Frank E. Brown and Norman
L. Larson, the owners of all land and
property abutting upon and adjoining the
alleys hereinafter•described, praying for
the vacation and discontinuance of the
alleys in block two (2) of Hamlin° Syn-
dicate Addition No. 1 to St. Paul,

Gentlemen:-
Pursuant to instructions of the Committee on Streets of the
Board of Aldermen, I transmit herewith a proper form of resolution
vacating the alleys in Block 2 of Hamline Syndicate Addition ??o. 1
to St. Paul, on petition of Leonard J. Dobner and others; the compen-
sation being fixed at Five Dollars and the expenses of proceeding, in
consideration of the petitioners having dedicated another sufficient
alley in the block.

are the owners of all the land on the line of the alleys embraced Wi thin
sai d Block, and pet i t.i on that your honorable body cause said al ley4,
in sa' d Block 2 of the Ilamline Syndicate Addition Number I aforesaid
to be vacated .
That the facts and reason for such vacation are , tnat your
pet i tioners, as the owners of said Block, have caused '.he same to be
replatted and have dedicated to the public use a twenty (20) foot
alley running Past and West through the center of said Block, which
furnishes ample alley facilities for each and every lot in said Block
