I . That he is now, and at all the times herein mentioned has
been, a citizen of the City of St. Paul , Ramsey County, Minnesota,
and has been since the 17th day of August , 1888, and now is, the
owner of thy- following described property situated in the said Coun
of Ramsey, to wit : The South-east quarter ( 1/4 ) of the North-east

State of New Jersey, ; that the said Jacqu.ine Harrison Smith con-
sents to and approves the vacation of said premises, and that the
said mortgage to her has been foreclosed, but the time for red enp-
tion does not expire until after July 1st , inc; and that it is
for the interest and benefit of both the said Jacqueline Harrison
Smith and the said Edward P. Williams, that the prayer of this pe-
tition be granted, and the said premises be placed • as farm property,
that no other persons are interested in that portion of said prem-
ises owned by your petitioner than as herein set forth; that the
said Lots 20 to 30 inclusive , in Block 4 of said Burlington Plat,
exempted as hereinabove set forth, are owned, so far as the recar-ds
disclose, by one William C. Bennett, whose whereabouts ire un-
known to your petit; oner.

of the common council of said city the attached petition for the vacat-
ion of the streetland alleys shown upon the plat of "Burlington Park.'"'-

Ramsey County , Minnesota, except the alleys in the rear of and on the
south side of lots twenty (20) to thirty (30) , both inclusive, in block
four (4) of said plat, and that portion of Hastings Avenue lyin€, on the
westerly side of and in front of said lots above mentioned, has been
presented by the petitioner therein named2 that it is deemed expedient
that the matter set forth in said petition shall be proc,--,eded with.
And it is ordered that said petition be filed of record with
the city clerk who shall. give notice by publication in the official
paper of the city for four succssive weeks, at least once a week, to
the effect that such petition has been filed as aforesaid, and stating
in brief its object, and that said petition will be heard and considered
by the committee on streets of the said body of the common council of
said city on a day and at a place to be specified in said notice not less
than 10 days from and after the expiration of the publication of said
