' Your petitioners represent44411 that they are a maj -
ority of the owner°'s of property on the line of the streets and
alleys hereinafter asked to be vacated,resident within the city of
St .Paul .
That they respectfully request your honorable body to
vacate the following streets and alleys in Macalester Park , in the
city of St .Paul , in the county of Ramsey and state of Minnesota, ac-
cording to the plat thereof on rile and of record in the office of
the Register of Deeds of sdid county of Ramsey ,to-wit:
All t :,it part of Dartmouth street running between blocks
three (3 ) and four (4) , and bounded on the West by Fairview Avenue,
and on the East by Amherst street (now known as Baldwin street ) ;a

The facts and reasons for such vacation are that your peti-
tioner,the ST .Paul Title Insurance and Trust Company ,being the
owner o f all o f tin land through which the same would run is about
to dedicate to public use certain other streets and alleys which
would more convenience the public than the streets and alleys pro-
posed to be vacated and one of which will be ,the extension of
Grand Avenue ,whereon the Electric Street Railway will run, same
being now operated by sufferance only over private property .
Your petitioners herewith accompany this petition ith a plat
of the streets and alleys proposed to • vacated which are indi -
cated in pink color, and which contain 4 63/100 acres of land.
Said plat also shows in slate color the streets and alleys
proposed to be dedicated as aforesaid, and which contain 7 2/10
acres of land,and names of the streets and avenues upon said plat
are given as they are now legally known and called.
Wherefore your petitioners pray that your honorable body , i f
it deems the same expedient , shall order this petition to be filed
of record with the City Clerk , and the necessary notice to be given
to be
