Whereas, A petition has been filed in this
office by order of the Common Council of the
g City of St. Paul,as provided by law, asking
during the whole time of the publication of said notice for the vacation of the following described

being situate and lying within Edmund
Rice's Trout Brook addition to St. Paul,
according to the recorded plat thereof and
being those particular parts and portions of
said streets, alloys and public property
marked in red upon the plat annexed to
the petition submitted to the Common:
Council of the City of St. Paul, for the
vacation of said parts and portions thereof
above named, which said petition duly set
forth the facts and reasons for such vaca-
tion, to-wit:for the purpose of rearranging
and replotting that part and portion of said
addition as shown upon said plat and
colored yellow thereon, which said petition
was duly verified by the oath of two
of said petitioners, and was on the
order of the Common Council duly filed of
record with the City Clerk of said city Sept.
10 85;and
Whereas, Due notice by publication in
the official paper of said city for four weeks,
commencing on the 16th day of September, ,r,I
1885, to the effect that said petition had
been filed with the City Clerk, stating in ,
brief its object, and that the same would be
heard and considered by the Com-
mon Council of the City of St. Pif ul
on Tuesday, the 3d day of November,
A. D.1885,at 7:30 o'clock in the afternoon
of said day, at the Council Chamber in the
City Hall of said city; and
Whereas, At the time and place above
designated for the investigation and consid-
eration of such proposed vacating of said
above-named streets,alleys and public prop-
erty, the Common Council, after hearing
all persons interested, and being of the
opinion that the same was necessary and
proper;therefore
Resolved, That the easterly one hundred
and twenty-eight (128) feet of that certain
thirty (30) feet alley running east from
Angle street through blocks one(1) and two
(2); also all that part of said alley begin-
ning at a point sixty(60) feet west of the
west end of that portion thereof above de-
scribed, and running westerly three hundred
and ninety-eight (398) feet to a point in
said block two(2); thence beginning at a
point seventy(70) feet west from the west
end of the piece and portion of said
alley last above described,and extending
westerly to said Angle street. Also, all of
that certain twenty (20) feet alley extend-
, ing north from Crescent street thrcc,«n 1
block three(3). Also, the whole of said
Angle street north of York street to Case
street. Also, all that portion of public
property lying north and west of said
