The undersi• your petitioners, respectfully repre-

ent : That they are the ol, 1ers and the majority of the owners of
j ; property on the line of Dal' Street asked to be vacated herein,
and that they are n the owners of that property described opposite
their respective names as signed hereto.
Your petitioners ask that that portion of Dale Street lying
south of the north westerly line of Lot in Block 1 of Crocus
Hill Third Rearrangement extended44, the north line of Pleasant
Avenue, shall be vacated, as shown by that portion shaded red upon
a map attached hereto and herewith presented.
And your petitioners respectfully represent that the portion
of said street asked to be vacated is steep, cut up by a ravine,
and unfit to be graded and made of any use as a street; and that
to have the same as it is now is a great detriment and damage to
the rest of the property in the vicinity. And your petitioners
further represent that in order to the further improvement and
benefit of the property in the vicinity, your petitioners propose
and herewith offer in connection with such vacation of said street
that the owner of Lot 1 in Block 1 of Highland Park Rearrangement
shall and will dedicate to the public for use as a park in connec-
tion-with—CrocutAnace, that portion of said Block 1 lying north
westerly of the north westerly line of said Lot 8 in said Block 1
of Crocus Hill Third Rearrangement produced to Pairmount Place.
And your petitioners represent that the result will be to have a
piece of land dedicated to the public as included within the blue
lines upon said plat hereto attached.
And your petitioners further represent that that portion of
said Dale Street asked to be vacated herein is of no use to the
public, and that the property adjoining the same can be better
improved without than with it; and that to have the same vacated
will increase the value of the property in the immediate vicinity,
and subject the lands within the lines of said street to taxation,
and be a public benefit and advantage.
Wherefore your petitioners pray that said Dale Street between
said lines and that portion thereof marked red upon the map here-
with presented, may be vacated and discontinued, as herein suggest
ted.
