A license agreement would grant the Port legal access to, and use of, the "Building 17" property and protect the City's interests. DVAN1'AGES IF APPROVED: The Port witl be able to proceed with its redevelopment plans for the old Stroh's site. The Port will also construct, at its expense, a 30-foot wide asphalt roadway, with fencing and gates, that eventually will serve as a temporary route for the nearby bike path during construction of the new Phalen Boulevard. ISADVAN'I'AGES IF APPROVED: None ISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED: The Port will be unabie to gain access to the brewery property to do demolition work and redevelop the property. The City will need to construct a new re-routing of the bike path at its own expense.
