1 WHEREAS, the Training Unit of the Saint Paul Police Deparhnent is conducting the 2001-3 Recruit
2 Academy.
4 WHEREAS, this training is of an advance nature and the facilities required must provide multi-purpose
5 range and a mock village where gas and ammunition will be d'eptoyed.

7 WHEREAS, this training will be conducted for police officer recruits on July 23, 24, 25, & 26, 2001 at
8 the United States Asmy Base located at 15000 HWY 115, Camp Ripley, Little Fa11s, MN 56345-4173.

WT3EREAS, the training is specifically designed to train new police recruits in night shooting, team
buiiding, leadership exercises, mock building searches, and exposure to CS gas. Due to the specialized nature of
this training, it is necessary to use a facility with the capabilities of conducting this type of instruction.
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Police Deparlment will enter into an agreement with HQ AAFES, FA-C1CA,
P.O. Box 660792, Dallas, TX 752660792, (Food Service on sight) to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for this
training.
18 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this training is to instract police officer recruits in night shooring, team
19 building, leadership exercises, mock building searches, and exposure to CS gas.

THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, that the City of Sarnt.Paul is authorized to pay for expenses of the
Training Unit members for the above menrioned food service not to exceed $2,000.00 to HQ AAFES, FA-C/CA,
