ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER

ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, That the premises at 827 Ashland Avenue, having
been demolished by an explosion and fire on June 20, 1975, and the
Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement having advised the
Mayor that the premises presents a serious danger to the health and
safety of the citizens in the area and, further, the Division of
Housing and Building Code Enforcement having advised the Mayor that
the premises is beyond repair, now, therefore, the Mayor of the City
of Saint Paul, pursuant to the powers vested in him by law and charter,
hereby declares a state of emergency with regard to the premises known
as 827 Ashland Avenue, and in order to protect the lives and safety of
neighboring residents, particularly children, hereby
ORDERS the proper City officials to immediately proceed with the
razing and destruction of the structure identified above and to assess
the costs thereof against the land pursuant to statute and, be it
FURTHER ORDERED that the proper City officials in the Division of
Housing and Building Code Enforcement are further directed to contact
the record owner, James R. Chapeau, 419 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi,
to advise him of the foregoing action and serve a copy of this Order
upon him.
