as construction of Bridge No. 62528 to carry CLEVELAND AVENUE over the tracks of the
C.M.St.P. & P. R.R. Co.
known as Contract L-7751 , City Project No. B 1033 , Northern Contracting Compargy,
Contractor, is composed of the following:
During class "R" footing excavation for the south abutment, ground water slowly infiltrated
into the footing area. Since water is detrimental to shale and causes swelling, it was
necessary to raise the footing elevation 1.5 feet and place a 6 inch concrete seal
(1A.43 Concrete) below the concrete footing. It was mutually agreed that the contract
quantities should be changed and payment adjusted as follows:
