competitive bids or advertisment 60 drums Nalco 5, a Liquid sodium aluminate compound
as manufactured by Nalco Chemical Company and described in Product Bulletin P-5.
Each drum to contain 380 pounds. Total order therefore approximately 22,800#
(60 x 380 - 22,800#), from Nalco Chemical Company, 14100 County Road 6, Minneapolis,
Minnesota 55441 for the Water Department, McCarron Water Treatment, 1900 North Rice
Street, for the price of ($.1432 per pound) $3,264.96 delivered.
This is the only known source of supply for this item.
Above compound to be used for a 12 day winter plant scale test at Water Treatment
Plant to determine if it could be substituted for present coagulant and proved better
treatment at less cost.
