ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, Richard W. Bronson, an employee of the Department
of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on February 18, 1973, while engaged in the performance
of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount of
$556.73 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work for
a period of time being paid salary in the amount of $668.85, for
which the City may claim credit at the rate of $80.00 per week;
and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negoitated between said
employee and the other party involved in said accident which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of $817.06
after deductions for proportionate attorney' s fees and costs;
now, therefore, be it
ORDERED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to
accept the sum of $817.06 in full , final and complete settlement
of its claim herein and to endorse the draft of Mutual Service
Insurance Company in the amount of $1 , 225. 58; that said-, sum of
$1 ,225. 58 is to be allocated as follows:
$208.00 credited to Miscellaneous Revenue of the
General Revenue Fund as reimbursement for Police
Salaries;
$556. 73 credited to Miscellaneous Revenue of the
General Revenue Fund as reimbursement of Workmen' s
Compensation Fund expenses; and
$408. 52 credited to the Suspense Fund as proportionate
attorney' s fees and costs; and
$52. 33 credited to the Suspense Fund as balance due
employee, Richard Bronson.
