ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, In the matter of that certain contract formerly known as
Comptroller's Contract L-7431-1 for Grading, Surfacing, and Concrete Curb and Gutter
on VAN DYKE STREET from Old Hudson Road to East Third Street, City Project No.
71-G-1609, T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. , Contractor, the specified date of completion
is July 1, 1972, and due to a strike in the Highway and Heavy Construction Industry
and due to lack of effort on the part of the Contractor, the Contractor did not
complete the contract by said date of completion, it is hereby
ORDERED, That the City of Saint Paul, through its Mayor, extends the time of comple-
tion to October 2, 1972, provided however, that this Order shall have no force or
effect unless the sureties on the Contractor's bond consent thereto and file such
consent in writing with the Head of the Finance Department of the City of Saint Paul;
and it is
FURTHER ORDERED, That the City of Saint Paul hereby agrees that a deduction of
$75.00 for engineering and inspection costs, as provided for in Section 1.54 of the
Specifications, will be charged to the Contractor for such extended period. The
$75.00 engineering and inspection costs for this project will be deducted from the
final estimate.
