ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER,
WHEREA.S, In the matter of Finance -Contract L-7399, for painting and repair of the
Wabasha St. .Bridge over the Mississippi River, City Project No. B .1002, Sphumann Bros. , Inc. ,
Contractor, the specified date of completion'is October 1% 1971; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently but Was not able to
camiplete the Contract by said date of completion; and
WHERE M., the Contract was completed on May.19, 1972; and
• WHMWZ, some cledms for damages caused by the Contractor's operations are still
outstanding against the Contractor, and the Corporation Counsel advises withholding a
sum of.money in addition to the Reserve to cover such claims; .therefore it- i-s
HEREBY ORDERED, that the proper City Officials be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute an amendment to said Contract extending the time of completion
to May 19., .1972; and it is
FURTHER ORDERED, that $4,000.00 in addition to the $1,000.00 Reserve shall be
withheld from the final payment until such time as the Corporation Counsel advises that
all claims against said Contractor have been settled and such monies, or portion remain-
ing thereof, shall be released; and it is
FURTHER ORDERED, that this Order: shall hive no Force or effect unless the sureties
on the. Contractor's bond consent thereto In n _writing and file such consent with.the City's_
Director of Finance::
