An ordinance amending Ordinance No. '7607, entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsibilities
and the minimum qualifications for the various classes of
positions in the Classified Service of the City,"
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
inserting in proper alphabetical order the following title and specifications:
"Title of class:
ASSISTANT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Duties and responsibilities:
Under direction, to perform important routine professional
work, somewhat difficult in character, in the investigation
or development of landscape projects; or the design, con-
struction, inspection and maintenance of landscaping; and
to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To make field studies and collect data incident to the landscaping
of parks, playgrounds and recreational areas.
To supervise and assist in the preparation of plans, designs,
specifications and estimates for landscape improvements
and projects.
To supervise or make detailed drawings of plantings, gradings,
and other necessary treatments.
Minimum qualifications:
College graduation in landscape architecture and two years l
professional landscape architecture experience. (Sub-
stitution of experience for education lacking, as provided for
in this ordinance, shall not apply to the first two years of
college education. )"
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its passage, approval, and publication.
