An ordinance amending Ordinance No. t513, entitled:
"An ordinance defining a tavern, prohibiting
the operation of a tavern without a license
therefo4 establishing regulations for the
granting of such licenses, and setting the
license fee. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety,"
approved October 17, 1933, as amended. This is an

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7513, approved October 17,
1933, as amended, be and the same hereby is further amended by
striking therefrom Section 2 thereof, in its entirety, and by
inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"Section 2. (a) A tavern is hereby defined as
follows: every place used, maintained, advertised, or
held out to be a place where liquor, non-intoxicating
or intoxicating, or both, is sold, and in addition
thereto, said place. provides (1) instrumental music
with dancing for the guests therein, or singing or
vaudeville entertainment, or any combination of these;
(2) instrumental music solely, without dancing for
the guests therein or singing or vaudeville enter--
tainment or any combination of these.
\ " (b) The annual license fee for any place
where liquor is sold and instrumental music with
