That Ordinance No. 10491, approved March 31, 1955, be amended by striking Section 2 therefrom and by substituting the r following thereror: T - Section 2. The items of uniform for which said allowance is authorized are the following: pants, shirt, blouse, overcoat, cap, raincoat, rain hat or cover for cap, belt, holster, cartridge holder, black neckties and leather jacket, . 1. t '. : .. t r. : . "The items for which said allowance is not authorized shall include shoes and boots." Section 2. That Section 9 of said Ordinance be amended by striking therefrom the words "each year" and be inserting in lieu thereof the words, "Every two years" and by adding to Section 9 the following: t. "The successful bidder shall be required to employ a tailor or to enter into a contract with a tailor so that proper individual fitting may be secured on uniform equipment, as a part of the purchase price of the particular item. " Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval, and publication.
