An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 8325, entitled:
"An ordinance to establish, locate and regulate a public
market in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, to provide certain
rules and regulations for the government of said market and for
the establishment of other and further regulations relative
thereto. This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for
the preservation of the public peace, health and safety,"
approved April 15, 1941, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That ordinance No. 8325, approved April 15, 1941,
as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by adding this
section to said ordinance. The market director shall require all
Christmas tree dealers doing business at the City market to make
a deposit to said market director to insure proper clean up of
the premises and to cover any damages that might happen to the
property as a result of renting said property to the Christmas
tree dealers. The amount of this deposit shall be determined by
the market director with the approval of the Commissioner of
Public Utilities; said deposit shall be returned to the Christmas
tree dealers if there is no damage to the property and if the
property is cleaned up to the satisfaction of the market director.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
30 days after its passage, approval and publication.
