An ordinance amending Ordinance No, 10720, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance relating to the
appointment by City officials of officers and
employees in the Classified Service, fixing the
number that may be appointed in the various de-
partments of the City Government",
approved December 27, 1955. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 10720, approved
December 27, 1955, as amended, is hereby further amended
as follows : By striking the heading in Section 3 thereof
reading "Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums"
and by inserting in lieu thereof the heading: "Department
of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia" .
Section 2. That said Ordinance, as amended, is hereby
further amended in Section 3 thereof, by striking the line
"Administration and Auditorium" and by inserting in lieu thereof
the line "Administration, Auditorium and Stadia" .
Section 3. That said Ordinance, as amended, is hereby
further amended under the sub-heading "Administration and
Auditorium" by adding a new line item reading "Professional
and Sub-professional" and by inserting opposite said line item
under the caption "Number of Employees" the figure "5" .
Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force upon its passage, approval and publication.
