Ro ORDI ]N An ord' ec amending 'ordinance "Anor�cd: prQ tail A ,/r-88 matters °concerning. egia rat x . t affecting the construction, m1tei as LE NO. s regulation, repair, removal, maint-- pence 4usc and ivtinn of.al.build ' V 7 PRESENTED BY b�'r OiWINANCE NO. 1f !l An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7210, entitled: "An ordinance providing for all matters concerning, regulating or affecting the construction, alteration, regulation, repair, removal, maintenance, use and in- spection of all buildings, walls, or structures erect- ed or to be erected within the limits of the City of Saint Paul for the protection of property against fire, and for the purpose of securing healthful, safe, and sanitary environments for the occupants of build- ings used for human habitation or otherwise, to compel the owners of such buildings, walls or structures to alter, reconstruct or modify the same or any part thereof, for the purpose of aforesaid, and to prohibit the unlawful use or occupancy of all buildings, walls or structures; establishing fire limits, and prescrib- ing the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Public Buildings in conformity with the Charter provisions; providing a penalty for the violation thereof and re- pealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith. That said Ordinance No. 7210, approved 'ay 22, 1930, as amended, be and the same is hereby further ame •ed by striking from Section 4104, Subdivision 3 Metal Reinforcement _sand paragraphs a, b, c, d, and e immediately following and '^substitute in lieu thereof a new Subdivision as follows: c; 3. Surfaces to be Stuccoed. For all exterior stucco work on and over all surfaces, the provisions as provided by the publication titled "Standard Specifications for Portland Cement Stucco a d Portland Cement Plastering Including Requirements for Lathing and Furring" (A.S.A. designated as A 42.2 - 1 6 and A 42.3 - 1946) is hereby adopted as part of this code and the requirements stated therein shall be consid- ered as the minimum requirements for Portland cement stuc- coing within the limits of the City of Saint Paul. Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- gency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fprce from and after its passage, approval, and publication.
