Duties and responsibilities:
Under supervision, to perform important routine professional
architectural work, somewhat difficult in character, in the
investigation, design, inspection, operation and maintenance
of public buildings, and to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To supervise and assist in preparing plans, designs, specifications
and estimates of building projects.
To examine plans and specifications for public buildings prepared
by private architects and engineers and to recommend changes. -_
To inspect the construction of public buildings.
To confer with department heads in regard to cost of construction,
repair, and alteration of buildings.
To examine and approve plans, details, and specifications for the
construction, repair, and alteration of buildings for safety
and conformance to the building code.
Minimum qualifications:
College graduation in architecture or architectural engineering
and two years' professional architectural experience. (No
substitution for education. )

Duties and responsibilities:
Under direction, to perform responsible professional architectural
work of ccnsiderable difficulty and importance in the investigation,
design, and inspection of public buildings; and to perform related
work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:

To have charge of other architects, engineers, designers and draftsmen
in the preparation of designs, detailed plans, specifications and
cost estimates of public buildings.
To give assistance and advice regarding buildings and their settings.
To participate in preliminary planning and discussion of new buildings
and remodeling of existing units.
To prepare final plans, details, and specifications and to be in charge
of their construction inspection.
To prepare standard specifications.
To assist in keeping the building code up to date.
To check plans for safety and conformance to building code.
To review plans of private architects and engineers and to recommend changes.
Minimum qualifications:
College graduation in architecture or architectural engineering.
Must be a registered architect or architectural engineer in the
State* of Minnesota. (Dro substitution for education. )
