The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services has offered a warkshap, dea]ing with crime and disorder in the schools.
As part of the COPS Office's continued commitment to advancing community policing, the workshop sessions will
be designed to help attendees utilize coilaboraflve problem-solving to address the selected problem in the focus School.
This workshop will cover topics such as developing skills to obtain in-depth information about yow targeted crime/disorder
problem and the facilitators of the problem; effectively building and urilizing school and law enforcement partnerships;
conducting victim and offender interviews; analyzing school and law enforcement data to develop effecfive and tailored
responses to a crime problem; and surveying teachers, students, parents, and others to gather useful information about
the target roblem.
