This Is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Chapter 308 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended by the addition of the following section, which sec- tion shall be numbered and included in said Legislative Code at the next revision of said Legislative Code. Section 2. No license shall be issued for any premises located within three hundred (300) �eehundrneyd public or parochial school, church, or synagogue, said (300) feet being calculated and computed as the distance measured in a straight line from the main public entrance of the premises or building proposed as the location for the liquor license to'any school, church, or synagogue in the area for which the license is sought. Section 3. All licenses in force and effect upon the effective date of this ordinance, the location of which license is in conflict with the provisions hereof may be renewed, transferred, or otherwise— dealt with in accordance with law, it being the intent of this ordinance that it be applied prospectively for prop-osed•locations of• licenses, and further it being the intent of this ordinance that the,-' limitations set forth in this rdinance shall in no manner be applicable to any hotel or motel."
