"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsibilities
and the .minimum qualifications for the various classes. of positions
in the Classified Service of the City,1�
approved February 7,3, 1935, as. amended. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered neces.s•ary for the preservation of the public peace, health .and
safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES. ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking

out the 11Minimum qualifications" in the s.pe.cifications for "Life Guard";
and by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"High school graduation. Must possess an up -to -date lifesa.=vtiixg;

certificate issued by the, Red Cross. or the Y. M. C. A."
Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same

while in the water, or while using watercraft.
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation. Must possess an up -to -date water safety
instructor's certificate issued by the Red Cross.
