Examples of work performed: To assist in planning, coordinating, directing, and appraising the maintenance of buildings. To advise supervisors on all phases of building repair and maintenance. To prepare estimates, sketches, and specifications for repairs and alterations. To inspect school buildings to determine when repairs or alterations are necessary. To estimate the cost of major maintenance or repair jobs. To assign and direct the work of plumbers, painters, carpenters, electricians, sheet metal workers, and other craftsmen and laborers. To assist in making up annual work programs. To make reports and recommendations.
